Event details from the host
An outdoor interclub in a ring at Platt Fields Park, run as part of the Magic of Thailand cultural festival — Thai food, cultural performances and a festival crowd all day. Runs across both Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August; clubs pick whichever day suits them. Entry from 9:30am, first bout 10am. Children, juniors and adults, all experience levels, bouts pre-matched. Children up to 14: body shield required, ages 5–10 in 6–10oz gloves, ages 11–14 in 12oz gloves plus shin pads, boys need a groin guard, strictly no head contact. Age 15+ and ladies up to 60kg: 14oz+ gloves; 61kg+: 16–18oz. Shin pads and gum shield required, men need a groin guard, head contact only if both clubs agree.
